What does a walking brace do?

As the foot or leg begins to heal, a walking brace slowly allows weight to be put onto the injured foot as the person transitions towards a full recovery. Your doctor may recommend a walking cast also known as an orthopedic walking boot instead of a full cast that will immobilize you.



What is the purpose of a walking boot?

The walking boot protects the foot and ankle from different kinds of injuries such as sprain, shin splint, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, and broken foot too.



What conditions require a walking boot?

Injuries that may require wearing a walking boot include broken bones, tendon injuries, severe sprains, and shin splints. Most walking boots have two to five adjustable straps that hold the boot in place over the injured leg.



What is the difference between a cam boot and a walking boot?

Tall Walking Boots:
